The Sydney Representative Office was established in September 2001 to facilitate liaison between the HVB Group,  concentrating on Corporates and Markets activities of the bank.

Business activities are focused on large investment grade companies and financial institutions in Australia and New Zealand, with a greater concentration on project and asset-backed financing in industries as diverse as natural resources & mining to communications & transport infrastructure.
